Welcome to Small Groups

At Eastside Baptist you will find a culture in which life-changing knowledge is pursued within the context and support of community.  You'll find Bible Study to be an enriching, rewarding experience as you build relationships and make connections within a group of 8 - 20 people.  The idea is to learn and grow together - discovering relevant truths that can be applied to everyday life.  Here everyone has something to offer, whether it's a new Christ-follower with his or her contagious enthusiasm, or a seasoned mentor offering encouragement and support.  And within the casual setting of a home family room or a restaurant, you won't feel pressured to know all the right answers.

Small groups are biblically based communities that meet throughout the Richmond area.  Our mission statement says, "We exist to create environments where individuals find accountability for their spiritual growth, feel they belong, and receive personal care."  Groups are drawn together to form biblical community, where strength and support are found through involvement in a group.  1 Peter 1:22 (NIV) states, "...love one another deeply...from the heart."  The small group is the place for that type of community at Eastside Baptist.

Small groups at Eastside usually meet three or four times a month in homes, in the marketplace, and on campus.  The three main elements of small groups are "intimacy with God, community with others, and service to the Kingdom".  Most of our small groups consist of 10 - 12 members.  Involvement in a group is a wonderful connection into the life of Eastside Baptist.
